As a composer Monteverdi bridged the style of the Renaissance with the Baroque. His Opera L'Orfeo was one of the earliest written and is still performed today. Brandon Ridenour has created this Suite from L'Orfeo for the Canadian Brass recording titled Echo; Glory of Gabrieli, which contains music from Gabrieli and Monteverdi. This suite contains the following movements:
