Ballade for Trombone Quartet is an arrangement of the middle movement of Neoteric Suite for bassoon, horn, and cello made at the request of the members of the Castle Trombone Quartet of Northwestern Oklahoma State University to whom the arrangement is dedicated. It is a tender and passionate love ballade that alternates moments of love, happiness, and hope with moments of melancholy fading to a peaceful conclusion.
